Grizzly Bulls preserves Treasury’s published debt-held-by-the-public component and converts exact source cents to billions of U.S. dollars for display. Dates where Treasury does not publish that component are omitted rather than interpolated, zero-filled, or inferred from total debt.
Dataset: Debt to the Penny.
Unit: Billions of U.S. dollars. Frequency: Daily on Treasury reporting days.
Expected refresh: Each U.S. business day after Treasury publishes Debt to the Penny. History target: 1997 onward.
Revision behavior: Routine source revision policy not documented. Treasury does not document a routine revision schedule for Debt to the Penny. Grizzly Bulls refreshes retained history from the current official FiscalData dataset and preserves the values Treasury publishes for each retained date. Read revision methodology.
Vintage: Latest-known retained history. This page does not preserve prior publication vintages.
