Research standards
These standards apply to reviewed `/research` publications under authority-research-trust-v1. They complement, rather than replace, the stricter stock, wealth, market, and source-domain publication rules that authorize individual facts.

A research page is a reviewed public projection of underlying evidence. It does not become a new source of truth merely because it has a polished chart, a canonical URL, or outside citation demand.
- The relevant stock, wealth, market, or other domain pipeline determines which claims are supported.
- A retained analysis binds those claims to a methodology and dated observation window.
- The research publication allowlist explicitly authorizes a public projection.
- The `/research` page exposes findings, methods, limitations, and only redistributable derived data.
Missing source evidence, unresolved identity, stale valuation, or incomplete source-family reach must remain visible uncertainty. Publication and SEO goals never upgrade an unresolved research state into a supported fact.
Dates and versions
Research pages deliberately separate four concepts that are often collapsed into a single “updated” timestamp.
Published
First public release of the citation asset. Set once when the reviewed study first becomes public.
Updated
Meaningful reviewed change to the public page, methodology explanation, correction, or presentation. A routine build or deploy never changes it.
Data snapshot
The observation date or window represented by the retained measurement. Only a new source measurement or reviewed analysis snapshot changes it.
Version
The public research edition for findings and methodology. Increment it when published findings, methodology, or the research dataset materially changes.
A presentation-only update can change the public updated date while preserving the same data snapshot and research version. Later measurements should normally keep the stable canonical study URL while date-stamped downloads preserve the measurement they contain.
Methodology and limitations
Every flagship should expose
- the research question and reviewed universe;
- the data snapshot or observation window;
- source families and methodology identifier;
- important unsupported inferences and known coverage gaps;
- a stable path to the underlying public aggregate data when redistribution is allowed.
Every flagship must avoid
- implying that a dated snapshot is live/current data;
- turning “not found” into a verified negative claim;
- claiming completeness beyond the measured source families;
- redistributing raw provider/source records without separate authority;
- using backlink or press interest as factual publication authority.
Citation and reuse
- You do not need permission to cite a public Grizzly Bulls research page or factual finding.
- When citing a measured statistic, include the data snapshot date and material limitation if it changes how the number should be interpreted.
- Public aggregate CSV/JSON files may be used for verification, analysis, and new charts with attribution to Grizzly Bulls and the canonical study.
- If reproducing a Grizzly Bulls chart image, identify Grizzly Bulls as the source and do not imply endorsement or partnership.
- Public reuse permission does not extend to raw source/provider corpora, private research queues, site branding, subscription content, or unrelated copyrighted page content.
A backlink is appreciated when it helps readers verify the source, but Grizzly Bulls does not make a ranking link a condition of factual citation or aggregate-data reuse.
Corrections and update record
If a published finding changes, the page should state the new data snapshot/version and preserve enough context for a prior citation to remain interpretable. Silent build-time timestamp changes are prohibited.
