Base case is our central scenario. Bear and bull cases show how uncertainty around private holdings, retained proceeds, taxes and liabilities can move the estimate.
Rankings use the current base-case estimate and show the wider bear-to-bull range on the full list.
Switch scenarios to see how the total and each component move together. The bars show each positive component's share of the estimated assets in that scenario, not audited holdings.
Forbes reported $40M of pay for Ferrell in its 2005 Celebrity 100. Two years later, Forbes cited a $20M paycheck for Talladega Nights while examining the economics of highly paid movie stars.
Those figures establish how much income his film career could generate at its peak. They do not show how much of that money survived taxes, professional fees, spending or later investment results, so the estimate discounts heavily from cumulative gross compensation.
Ferrell has spent decades writing and producing in addition to acting, but the public evidence used here does not establish a defensible current value for private production interests or residual rights. Those activities help explain the durability of his earning power without becoming invented balance-sheet items.
Current investments, property equity and liabilities are also private. The range therefore centers on retained career capital rather than trying to reconstruct every project or private asset.
Sources[1][2]A reported salary, company sale or brand valuation is not automatically current personal wealth. We show the pieces that can be tied to retained evidence and keep historical flows separate.
The estimate uses person-level compensation to constrain retained career capital. It does not carry historical pay forward as cash or assign unsupported value to private production interests, residuals, property or investments.

Forbes reported $40M of pay for Ferrell in its 2005 Celebrity 100 and later cited a $20M Talladega Nights paycheck. Those observations establish elite film-comedy earning power but remain historical compensation flows. Current production-company interests, investments, property, residuals, taxes, spending, transfers and liabilities are not independently valued.

Initial Grizzly Bulls estimate published with elite film-comedy compensation separated from current retained personal capital.
This is the first retained snapshot, so there is no earlier comparable Grizzly Bulls estimate to show yet.
