Heavy equipment Power & Energy segment profit is Caterpillar's reported profit measure for its Power & Energy operating segment.

Caterpillar reported $2.027B of Power & Energy segment profit in Q2 2026, up 30% from $1.554B in Q2 2025.

Profit growth can outpace sales growth

Power & Energy sales grew 17% while segment profit grew 30%. Caterpillar attributed the profit increase mainly to the profit impact of higher sales volume and favorable price realization, partly offset by unfavorable manufacturing costs.

Read it with Power & Energy total sales and Power & Energy profit margin. Segment profit remains distinct from consolidated operating income because corporate items and other businesses are outside the segment measure.
