Online gaming average revenue per monthly payer measures average monthly revenue divided by average monthly unique payers over the same reporting period.

DraftKings calls the metric ARPMUP. It reported $132 in Q2 2026, down about 13%, or $19, from the prior-year quarter.

ARPMUP is a platform monetization measure

A higher value can reflect deeper engagement, richer product mix, stronger sportsbook hold, higher iGaming monetization, or more customers using multiple offerings.

It can also fall when sports results are customer-friendly or when the operator increases promotional reinvestment. That is why ARPMUP should be read with monthly unique payers, not used as a stand-alone pricing metric.

Revenue per payer is not customer lifetime value

ARPMUP is a period-average revenue statistic. It does not deduct acquisition cost, gaming taxes, platform costs, promotions already reflected in revenue presentation, or other expenses needed to estimate customer economics.

It also spans DraftKings' current product mix, including Sportsbook, iGaming, Fantasy, Lottery, Prediction Markets, and other offerings. Sports net revenue margin isolates a different part of the model by relating sports revenue to sports volume.

Where this concept fits
  • Player scale and monetizationCurrent relationship
Monthly Unique Payers measure DraftKings platform-level paying-user scale, ARPMUP measures average revenue across that payer base, and Flutter iGaming AMPs isolate product-category player activity under a different methodology. These user metrics are complementary but not standardized synonyms.
  • Sports volume, revenue, and realized margin
DraftKings Sports Consumer Volume measures settled customer wagers or trades across Sportsbook and Prediction Markets, Sports Net Revenue Margin relates current sports revenue to that broader volume, and Flutter sportsbook revenue provides a cleaner sportsbook-only revenue view. Current DraftKings sports scope must not be treated as pure sportsbook handle or revenue.
  • iGaming revenue and sportsbook margin bridge
iGaming revenue is tracked separately from sports betting, while Flutter decomposes realized sportsbook margin into underlying structural margin, period sports-result effects, and promotional-spend effects. Those drivers explain hold movement without creating a standardized cross-operator margin formula.
