Payments network data processing revenue is revenue earned primarily from authorizing, clearing, settling, and otherwise processing transactions across the network.

Visa reported $6.042B of data processing revenue in fiscal Q3 2026, up 17% from $5.153B a year earlier.

Transaction growth is the core driver, but not the only one

Visa identifies processed transactions as the primary driver of data processing revenue. Q3 growth also reflected pricing changes, value-added services growth, and a higher cross-border transaction mix, so revenue growth should not be assumed to equal transaction-count growth.

Pair it with processed transactions and value-added services revenue to separate network throughput from service and pricing mix.
