Payments network payments volume measures the aggregate dollar amount of purchases made using the network's branded cards and other payment credentials.

Visa reported 10% constant-dollar growth and 11% nominal growth in payments volume in fiscal Q3 2026.

Payments volume is purchase value, not transaction count

Visa defines payments volume as aggregate purchase dollars across specified Visa brands and excludes Europe co-badged volume. Constant-dollar growth removes foreign-currency translation effects, while nominal growth includes them. Visa identifies payments volume as the primary driver of service revenue.

Read it with processed transactions and service revenue so larger purchase values are not confused with more network transactions.
