How Daniel Radcliffe Built a Fortune

Forbes named Radcliffe the top-earning actor in its under-25 list after estimating $15M of income between June 2006 and June 2007. In the next annual period, Forbes reported $25M of earnings.

The second report also cited an estimated $50M contract covering the final Potter installments. That contract confirms extraordinary franchise earning power, but adding its face value on top of the annual observations would risk counting the same compensation twice.

Harry Potter generated billions of dollars at the box office, but studio revenue does not become a personal asset without evidence of Radcliffe’s contractual participation. The estimate instead starts with the compensation that Forbes attributed directly to him.

His current investments, property, production interests, taxes, spending, transfers and liabilities are not publicly complete. A wide retained-capital range acknowledges both the strength of the early earnings record and the limits of current disclosure.

Observed assets and financial anchors

A reported salary, company sale or brand valuation is not automatically current personal wealth. We show the pieces that can be tied to retained evidence and keep historical flows separate.

No major component is directly observable as a precise current valueThis estimate is built from source-backed financial anchors and explicitly modeled scenario ranges rather than pretending a private balance sheet is directly observable.
Historical flow

Forbes estimated Radcliffe earned $15M between June 2006 and June 2007.

Historical flow

Forbes estimated Radcliffe earned $25M between June 2007 and June 2008 and separately described an estimated $50M Potter contract.

Scenario balance sheet

The estimate treats those annual earnings as historical flows. Forbes also reported an estimated $50M contract for the final Potter installments, but that contract is context rather than an additional current asset because its compensation overlaps the annual earnings record.

Estimated retained film and stage capital

Forbes estimated Radcliffe earned $15M between June 2006 and June 2007 and $25M between June 2007 and June 2008. The latter report also cited an estimated $50M contract for the final Potter installments, but the contract is retained as context rather than added on top of the annual flow to avoid double counting. Current investments, property, production interests, taxes, spending, transfers and liabilities are not independently valued.
