alternative asset manager fee-earning perpetual capital AUM is perpetual-duration managed capital that currently generates management fees under the issuer's fee-earning definition.
Blackstone reported $445.8 billion of fee-earning perpetual capital AUM at December 31, 2025, equal to 48% of its total fee-earning AUM.
What it adds beyond perpetual AUM
Perpetual capital can include assets that are not currently fee earning. This narrower measure connects long-duration capital directly to the fee base rather than assuming every dollar of perpetual AUM is monetized today.
Investor caution
Perpetual does not mean economically permanent or immune from redemptions. Vehicle terms, repurchase limits, insurance-client mandates, asset sales, and fee arrangements can still change the managed and fee-earning base.
