Deathcare comparable funeral average revenue per service measures the revenue SCI assigns to normal comparable funeral services divided by comparable services performed.

SCI reported $5,823 of comparable average revenue per service for 2025.

The reported average does not use total comparable funeral revenue

SCI reported $2.340 billion of comparable funeral revenue and 347,696 comparable funeral services. Dividing those two headline figures gives roughly $6,730 per service, not $5,823.

The difference exists because SCI excludes general agency revenue, non-funeral-home preneed sales revenue, and other revenue from the numerator used for the average-revenue calculation.

Numerator discipline matters more than the formula

The arithmetic is simple only after the correct revenue pool is selected. Using total comparable funeral revenue would create a false unit-economics figure even though the service count is correct.

Read Comparable Funeral Revenue with the issuer's specific numerator definition.

Mix can change the average without a list-price change

Pricing, merchandise and service selection, cremation mix, trust-fund income, and customer preferences can all affect the reported average.

Use Comparable Cremation Rate before interpreting movement in $5,823 as pure price realization.
