Evernorth Specialty and Care Services adjusted income from operations is Cigna's issuer-defined pre-tax profit measure for its Specialty and Care Services operating segment.

The segment produced $1.054B in Q2 2026, up 22% from $863M a year earlier. Adjusted revenues increased 4% over the same period.

Profit growth outpaced revenue growth

Cigna attributed the increase primarily to organic growth in specialty businesses, including higher generic and biosimilar adoption, plus operating efficiencies. At the Evernorth level, growth in Specialty and Care Services added about 7 percentage points to adjusted-profit growth and operating efficiencies added about 4 points.

Those drivers are distinct from specialty and care claim-volume contribution, which is part of the adjusted-revenue bridge. The profit measure is non-GAAP and should remain tied to Cigna's reconciliation.
