Heavy equipment Construction Industries segment profit is Caterpillar's reported profit measure for its construction-equipment segment.

Caterpillar reported $1.947B of Construction Industries segment profit in Q2 2026, up 57% from $1.244B in Q2 2025.

Segment profit is not consolidated operating income

The measure belongs to one operating segment and should not be substituted for Caterpillar's consolidated operating profit. Corporate items, eliminations, financing activities, and results from other segments sit outside this figure.

Read it with Construction Industries total sales and Construction Industries profit margin. Caterpillar attributed the Q2 profit increase primarily to higher sales volume.
