Heavy equipment Construction Industries total sales measures sales generated by Caterpillar's Construction Industries segment, including external and inter-segment sales.

Caterpillar reported $8.346B of Construction Industries total sales in Q2 2026, up 35% from $6.190B in Q2 2025.

Sales growth can include dealer-channel movement

Caterpillar said the increase was mainly driven by $1.8B of higher sales volume and $309M of favorable price realization. In North America, higher volume reflected both equipment sales to end users and changes in dealer inventories, so reported manufacturer sales are not identical to retail equipment demand.

Use dealer inventory change alongside Construction Industries segment profit and profit margin to separate channel, revenue, and profitability effects.
