Home improvement retail total sales growth tracks the year-over-year change in Home Depot consolidated net sales.
Fiscal Q2 2026 net sales rose 5.7% to $47.9B from $45.3B.
Reported growth was broader than comparable demand
Comparable sales increased only 1.7%. Home Depot said the reported increase was driven primarily by GMS, acquired in September 2025, which contributed $1.4B of incremental quarterly sales, plus positive comparable sales, Mingledorff's, and new stores and branches.
A weaker U.S. dollar added another $105M to reported sales. That mix makes comparable sales growth and net sales FX impact necessary companions to the headline growth rate.
Digital ordering is another useful lens: online sales growth was 11.0% in the quarter.
Primary source: Home Depot fiscal Q2 2026 Form 10-Q filed with the SEC.
