Parcel delivery U.S. Domestic average daily package volume measures the average number of packages UPS moves each operating day within its U.S. Domestic Package segment.

UPS reported 16.002M packages per day in Q2 2026, down 3.3% from 16.553M a year earlier. Ground volume was 13.799M per day, deferred volume was 792,000, and the remainder was primarily Next Day Air.

Volume is a demand measure, not a revenue measure

Average daily volume normalizes package counts for the number of operating days, but it does not capture mix or monetization. UPS said Q2 volume declined as planned reductions from its largest customer concluded and the company reduced lower-yielding ecommerce volume.

Pair volume with U.S. Domestic average revenue per piece and U.S. Domestic Package revenue. Fewer pieces can coexist with revenue growth if mix, rates, accessorial charges, or fuel surcharges rise enough.
