Payments network service revenue is revenue earned from services tied primarily to branded payments activity.

Visa reported $4.922B of service revenue in fiscal Q3 2026, up 14% from $4.330B a year earlier.

Service revenue can lag the volume period that drives it

Visa says service revenue in a given quarter is primarily assessed using nominal payments volume from the prior quarter. Q3 service revenue growth also reflected selected pricing changes and card-benefit growth, so same-quarter payments volume is not a direct revenue bridge.

Read it with payments volume and client incentives to distinguish underlying purchase activity from gross monetization and contra-revenue.
