Payments network total cross-border volume measures payment activity where the issuing country differs from the merchant country, including intra-European transactions.

Visa reported 13% constant-dollar growth and 15% nominal growth in total cross-border volume in fiscal Q3 2026.

Total cross-border growth is broader than the international-revenue driver

The total measure is useful for tracking international network activity, but Visa separately reports cross-border volume excluding intra-Europe when discussing international transaction revenue. Travel, cross-border ecommerce, foreign exchange, and regional mix can all influence the relationship between volume and revenue.

Read it with cross-border volume excluding intra-Europe and payments volume to distinguish international mix from overall purchase activity.
