R&D Solutions segment profit is IQVIA's reportable-segment profit for its outsourced clinical-research and related R&D services business.

IQVIA reported $526M of R&D Solutions segment profit in Q2 2026, up 11.2% from $473M a year earlier.

Profit conversion matters more than revenue alone

The segment's revenue grew 8.8%, so segment profit grew faster in the quarter. That can indicate favorable operating leverage, but the measure still inherits IQVIA's segment accounting and excludes corporate and unallocated items.

The R&D Solutions segment profit margin makes that conversion easier to compare across periods.
