Commerce & Cloud Advertising Services Revenue measures advertising sold to sellers, vendors, publishers, authors, and other customers across a commerce ecosystem.
Amazon reported $19.809 billion of advertising services revenue in fiscal Q2 2026, compared with $15.694 billion a year earlier.
Why it matters
Advertising monetizes purchase intent and traffic without requiring Amazon to own the underlying merchandise. It can therefore change the economics of the retail platform even when retail sales growth is slower.
Investor caution
Advertising services revenue is not equivalent to Meta-style social advertising revenue or a standardized ad-load metric. Amazon's category includes sponsored ads, display, video, and other programs tied to its own ecosystem.
