Ethanol Production Volume measures the physical ethanol output produced during the reporting period.

Valero reported average production of 4.611 million gallons per day in 2025, up from 4.538 million gallons per day in 2024.

Daily production increased about 1.6%

The increase was 73,000 gallons per day.

Dividing that by the 4.538 million gallon 2024 base gives approximately 1.6% growth.

Annualized output nearly reaches stated capacity

At 4.611 million gallons per day, simple annualized production is about 1.683 billion gallons.

That is roughly 99% of Valero's approximately 1.7 billion gallons per year of stated production capacity, but it is not an issuer-reported utilization metric.

Use Ethanol Production Capacity for the nameplate denominator.

Production volume is plant output

It is not automatically gallons sold. Inventory movement can separate production from sales, and product price determines revenue generated from a given physical volume.

Higher production also does not guarantee higher operating income.
