Industrial distribution FASTBin and FASTVend sales measure sales through Fastenal's embedded inventory-tracking bins and vending devices.

Q2 2026 FASTBin and FASTVend sales were $781.4M, up 17.4% from $665.3M a year earlier. They represented 32.3% of sales, up from 31.6%.

Embedded hardware is only part of FMI

FASTBin uses embedded tracking and fulfillment technology in bin formats, while FASTVend uses vending devices. Fastenal also operates the more flexible, non-embedded FASTStock system, so FASTBin/FASTVend sales are a subset of total FMI sales.

The installed hardware base matters too. Weighted FASTBin/FASTVend installations reached 140,789 MEUs at quarter-end, while signings measure new commitments rather than sales.
