Industrial distribution weighted FASTBin and FASTVend installations measure Fastenal's installed embedded FMI device base in standardized machine equivalent units, or MEUs.

Fastenal ended Q2 2026 with 140,789 weighted installations, up 6.5% from 132,174 a year earlier.

MEUs standardize unlike devices

Fastenal weights FASTBin and FASTVend devices by expected output so different hardware types can be combined into one standardized installed-base measure. FASTStock is excluded because scanned stocking locations can take forms that cannot be converted reliably into MEUs.

Installations describe deployed infrastructure, while weighted signings describe new commitments and FASTBin/FASTVend sales describe revenue flowing through the embedded systems. Those three measures should not be treated as interchangeable growth rates.
