Payments network processed transactions count payment and cash transactions that the network actually processes.

Visa processed 71.662B transactions in fiscal Q3 2026, up 10% from 65.443B a year earlier.

Transaction count is different from payment value

Visa's processed-transaction measure includes both payments and cash transactions processed on its networks. A transaction count can rise faster or slower than payments volume because average ticket size, cash activity, ecommerce mix, geography, and routing can change.

Pair it with payments volume and data processing revenue to separate throughput from dollars spent and revenue earned.
