Vehicle Auction Insurance-Sourced Vehicle Mix measures the share of processed vehicles supplied by insurance-company sellers.

Copart reported 81% of vehicles processed were sourced from insurance companies.

Supply-channel concentration can coexist with low individual-customer concentration

Copart also reported Vehicle Auction Largest Customer Revenue Concentration of no single customer above 10% of consolidated revenue.

Those facts are not contradictory. The 81% figure groups many insurance sellers together and uses processed vehicles as its denominator, while the 10% disclosure refers to individual customers and consolidated revenue.

The remaining vehicle supply was about 19%

If 81% of processed vehicles came from insurance companies, roughly 19% came from other seller channels under the disclosed mix.

That complement helps frame seller diversification without identifying the economics of each non-insurance source.

Vehicle mix is not revenue mix

Insurance vehicles can differ from dealer, fleet, finance, charity, and other supply in selling price, damage profile, ancillary services, title complexity, and fee economics.

An 81% unit mix therefore should not be translated into 81% of revenue or profit.
