Base case is our central scenario. Bear and bull cases show how uncertainty around private holdings, retained proceeds, taxes and liabilities can move the estimate.
Rankings use the current base-case estimate and show the wider bear-to-bull range on the full list.
Switch scenarios to see how the total and each component move together. The bars show each positive component's share of the estimated assets in that scenario, not audited holdings.
Gabriel Bortoleto won the Formula 3 and Formula 2 championships in consecutive rookie campaigns, then moved into Formula 1 with Sauber in 2025. The 2024 team announcement described a multi-year agreement covering the transition to Audi's works programme. That publicly establishes his employment trajectory, not the cash value of every year, a signing fee, or an Audi equity stake.
RacingNews365's preseason 2025 survey placed Bortoleto's annual base salary at about $2M using paddock-source estimates. The number did not include race bonuses or personal sponsor arrangements. It also preceded his first full season, so it is not a payroll record proving the amount he actually received.
His junior championship results help explain why a manufacturer-backed team selected him, and his 2025 performances created further potential to earn. Neither those championships nor the team's future ambitions supply a reliable current valuation for his private holdings. A contractual option covering later seasons is future earning potential rather than money already held.
The $3.5M center is therefore a tentative scenario for capital that could have been retained from junior racing, a first F1 season and commercial work. The $0.8M bear and $9M bull cases allow for large unknowns in sponsorship proceeds, tax, professional expenses and any personal investments. There is no audited balance sheet or verified stock holding behind the range.
