Base case is our central scenario. Bear and bull cases show how uncertainty around private holdings, retained proceeds, taxes and liabilities can move the estimate.
Rankings use the current base-case estimate and show the wider bear-to-bull range on the full list.

Tsunoda became a full-time Formula 1 driver in 2021, initially with AlphaTauri, and established several seasons of top-level racing experience before a senior Red Bull opportunity. The publicly quoted $2M base salary for 2025 came from RacingNews365's preseason paddock survey. It was an estimate published before races began and excluded bonuses, private sponsorship income, costs and taxes.
The timing matters because Red Bull promoted Tsunoda from Racing Bulls to its senior car for the Japanese Grand Prix in April 2025. Formula 1 reported the seat change on March 27. There is no reviewed disclosure showing whether his pay terms changed, how much he received across the two teams, or whether any adjustment was guaranteed. Treating the original $2M as both fixed receipts and a new senior-team contract would double-count unverified earnings.
Several completed seasons create opportunities for savings, but racing expenses, tax residency, family support and sponsorship contracts can make two drivers with similar base pay end up with very different net assets. None of those balances is documented well enough to produce a narrow current estimate for Tsunoda.
The $6.5M central personal-capital scenario and broad $2M to $17M range reflect that uncertainty. The number is not a stated salary multiple or a transfer from Red Bull, Honda or any sponsor. Disclosed holdings or an independently documented contract settlement would be stronger evidence than extrapolating from results.

RacingNews365's February 2025 preseason survey estimated Yuki Tsunoda's annual base F1 pay near $2M. This is not documented season-end total compensation or confirmed cash received.

RacingNews365 estimated a 2025 annual $2M base salary for Yuki Tsunoda before the season began. That excludes team bonuses, personal sponsorships, taxes, agent costs and realized cash receipts. Entered Formula 1 with AlphaTauri in 2021 and raced for its renamed sister team before being promoted to Red Bull Racing in April 2025. The $6.5M central retained-capital estimate and $2M to $17M range are assumptions about assets personally saved from professional income, not a present value of prospective contracts or a sum of published gross salaries.

This is the first retained snapshot, so there is no earlier comparable Grizzly Bulls estimate to show yet.
