Base case is our central scenario. Bear and bull cases show how uncertainty around private holdings, retained proceeds, taxes and liabilities can move the estimate.
Rankings use the current base-case estimate and show the wider bear-to-bull range on the full list.

Di Resta arrived in Formula 1 with a substantial touring-car résumé, having won the 2010 DTM championship before joining Force India. He raced in F1 from 2011 through 2013, later returned to DTM and appeared briefly as a Williams substitute in 2017. That sequence is financially important because it spans contracts with very different team structures rather than one stable Formula 1 salary.
The May 2013 Motors Inside survey estimated €400K of annual Force India team pay. Its Business Book GP figures excluded driver advertising income. The observation gives a scale for one F1 season, but it is a preseason estimate rather than final earned salary and says nothing about a later DTM paycheck. Di Resta's short Williams appearance in Hungary in 2017 should not be treated as a new full-season F1 contract.
His current career is more active than a casual reading of the 2013 salary table would imply. Peugeot Sport named di Resta as a full-season driver for the 2026 World Endurance Championship in its January team announcement, alongside Nick Cassidy and Stoffel Vandoorne in the No. 93 Hypercar. The factory role confirms continuing professional opportunities, but the published roster did not disclose wages, bonuses or an ownership stake. Motorsport broadcasting is another possible income channel with no verified amount in these sources.
The $9M central personal-capital scenario, ranging from $3M to $24M, reflects possible savings from Formula 1, touring cars, endurance events and outside work, offset by uncertain expenses and taxes. No current bank, property or private equity schedule is available. The financial case would improve sharply with an actual Peugeot contract or documented investment holdings, not another generic estimate multiplied by F1 seasons.

Motors Inside cited the Business Book GP report's estimated annual 2013 team salary of €400K for Paul di Resta, excluding advertising income. The reported team-pay rate is not a verified realized receipt or present personal asset.
Sources[1]Formula 1's 2017 reserve-driver report confirms a brief Williams substitution, not a guaranteed full season of renewed pay.
Sources[2]Peugeot Sport confirmed full-season WEC participation in 2026 without contract values.
Sources[3]Motors Inside reported an approximately €400K annual Force India salary for di Resta in 2013 based on Business Book GP, excluding commercial income. It is a prospective team-pay observation, not proof that €400K was deposited or an ongoing salary for his later career. Formula 1 documented his one-off Williams reserve appearance in 2017, while Peugeot officially named him a full-season Hypercar driver for 2026. Neither the Peugeot announcement nor his broadcasting work contains verified personal compensation. The $9M base-case retained-capital estimate and $3M-$24M range reflect multiple motorsport income periods and investments but exclude imagined current Peugeot equity.
