Automotive GM International EBIT-adjusted margin is GMI EBIT-adjusted divided by GMI net sales and revenue under GM's segment presentation.
GM reported a 5.5% GMI EBIT-adjusted margin for 2025, up from 2.2% in 2024.
The reported margin reconciles to the segment figures
Dividing $737 million of GMI EBIT-adjusted by $13.427 billion of GMI revenue gives about 5.49%, consistent with the reported 5.5%.
The 3.3-percentage-point improvement occurred even though GMI revenue declined 3.3%.
The numerator and denominator do not have identical scope
GMI EBIT-adjusted can include equity-income effects from Automotive China, while GMI revenue excludes China joint-venture vehicle sales.
The ratio is therefore useful as GM's reported segment KPI, but it should not be interpreted as a clean margin on every vehicle sold in GM's international markets.
Compare margin with the earnings and revenue legs separately
Use GMI EBIT-Adjusted and GMI Net Sales and Revenue to see whether future margin changes come from earnings, revenue, or both.
