One TBtu equals one million MMBtu, so 20.704 TBtu per day equals 20.704 million MMBtu per day.

Enterprise's Equivalent Pipeline Transportation Volume uses 3.8 MMBtu per barrel equivalent. Dividing 20.704 million by 3.8 gives about 5.448 million barrels per day equivalent.

Gas plus liquids reconstructs the network-wide equivalent total

Adding that 5.448 million gas equivalent to Liquids Pipeline Transportation Volume of 8.264 million barrels per day gives about 13.712 million barrels per day equivalent.

That nearly exact bridge helps explain the issuer's aggregate equivalent-volume measure.

TBtu is an energy unit, not a gas-volume unit

The transport figure should not be compared directly with Bcf-based processing or storage measures without a heat-content assumption.

Transportation economics also depend on reservation charges, usage fees, contract terms, system ownership, and operating costs, not only on the TBtu moved.
