Pest control gross margin measures gross profit as a percentage of revenue before selling, administrative, depreciation, and other operating costs below gross profit.

Rollins reported a 51.9% gross margin for the first six months of 2026, down from 52.7% in the comparable 2025 period.

Technician, fleet, claims, and material costs shape gross margin

Rollins attributed the year-over-year decline primarily to higher employee expenses, insurance and claims costs, fleet expenses, and materials and supplies.

That cost mix makes gross margin a useful bridge between organic revenue growth and deeper operating-profit conversion.

Gross margin is not adjusted operating margin

Gross profit stops before many corporate and operating expenses. Rentokil's adjusted operating margin goes further down the income statement and also reflects issuer-defined adjustments.

Do not compare the two percentages as if they used the same numerator or cost scope.
