Casino revenue growth measures the year-over-year percentage change in casino revenue.

A simple form is:

casino revenue growth = current casino revenue ÷ prior casino revenue - 1

MGM example

MGM's Las Vegas Strip Resorts casino revenue increased approximately 3% in 2025 from 2024.

MGM attributed the increase primarily to higher table games drop and win percentage and higher slot handle.

Why it matters

Casino revenue growth is the combined result of gaming volume and realized hold.

That means the same growth rate can arise from very different operating paths:

  • higher traffic;
  • higher wagering per customer;
  • stronger table hold;
  • stronger slot hold; or
  • changes in game and property mix.

Investor use

Always decompose the growth rate using the underlying volume and hold metrics rather than treating revenue growth as a stand-alone demand measure.
