Workplace services uniform and facility SG&A expense rate measures selling and administrative expense as a percentage of uniform and facility service revenue.
Cintas reported Uniform Rental and Facility Services SG&A expense equal to 25.9% of segment revenue in fiscal 2026, compared with 25.8% in fiscal 2025.
The rate tracks overhead and selling-cost leverage
The numerator includes spending needed to support sales growth, technology, and selling resources. Revenue growth can create operating leverage when those costs rise more slowly than segment sales.
The rate can also rise during periods of investment even when the underlying customer economics remain healthy.
SG&A sits below gross profit
Production, delivery, and in-service inventory costs are reflected above gross profit, while SG&A captures a separate layer of operating expense.
