Car wash comparable-store eligibility period defines how long a location must operate before it enters the issuer's comparable-store sales calculation.

Mister Car Wash considers a site comparable on the first day of the 13th full calendar month after a greenfield opening or acquisition.

Comparable does not mean mature

A location can enter the comparable-store base after roughly one year, while Mister Car Wash says a greenfield location typically requires approximately three full years to reach mature average unit volumes.

That creates an important analytical window in which a store is included in comparable sales but is still ramping toward mature economics.

The rule applies to acquired sites too

Acquired locations also wait until the first day of the 13th full calendar month after acquisition.

That prevents the acquired site's initial post-deal period from immediately entering the comparable base, but it does not make acquisition economics identical to greenfield development.

Seasoning rules affect growth interpretation

Mister Car Wash expects a meaningful portion of growth to come from non-comparable locations as it expands the network.

Use the eligibility period with greenfield maturation and comparable-store sales growth so that early unit growth is not mistaken for mature same-store demand.

Connects subscription-member growth and wash-sales penetration with comparable-store demand, location-format and greenfield expansion, acquisition activity, and the capital spending required to maintain and grow a car wash network.
