Car wash comparable-store sales growth measures year-over-year wash-sales change at locations that satisfy the issuer's seasoning rules.

Mister Car Wash reported 2.9% comparable-store sales growth in 2025, compared with 3.0% in 2024.

The metric deliberately excludes much of unit growth

Mister Car Wash added 34 net locations during 2025, including 29 greenfield openings and five acquired locations.

Those newer locations can contribute consolidated revenue before they enter the comparable-store base. The company explicitly notes that, as it expands, a significant portion of sales growth can come from non-comparable stores.

Comparable sales and subscription growth overlap but are not identical

Unlimited Wash Club membership grew approximately 7% and subscription sales penetration reached 76%.

Those trends can support comparable sales, but the comp metric measures total wash sales at seasoned locations. It also includes retail wash activity and can be affected by price, mix, membership growth, and local demand.

Preserve the issuer's seasoning rules

Mister Car Wash generally admits a new or acquired site on the first day of its 13th full calendar month.

Comparisons with another operator should preserve that eligibility rule before treating two same-store growth percentages as equivalent.

Part of the Car Wash Subscription & Unit Economics

Connects subscription-member growth and wash-sales penetration with comparable-store demand, location-format and greenfield expansion, acquisition activity, and the capital spending required to maintain and grow a car wash network.
