Car wash subscription sales penetration measures the share of wash sales generated by recurring subscription members rather than retail wash transactions.

Mister Car Wash reported Unlimited Wash Club sales equal to 76% of total wash sales in 2025, up from 74% in 2024.

Penetration is a revenue-mix measure

The 76% figure does not mean 76% of customers are members.

A UWC member pays a recurring monthly fee and can wash repeatedly, while a retail customer pays by visit. Customer mix, visit frequency, and sales mix are therefore different concepts.

Rising penetration changes revenue quality

As a larger share of wash sales comes from subscriptions, more of the wash-sales base is tied to recurring monthly relationships rather than one-time retail transactions.

That can improve visibility, but penetration alone does not disclose retention or profitability. A subscription base can be large and still require meaningful marketing, site growth, or discounting to sustain it.

Read penetration beside member count and comparable sales

Mister Car Wash ended 2025 with 2.271 million UWC members and reported 2.9% comparable-store sales growth.

Those metrics answer different questions: member count shows recurring customer scale, penetration shows wash-sales mix, and comparable sales show growth in the seasoned location base.
