Video game full-game net bookings measure current-period bookings from sales of complete game products.

Electronic Arts reported $233M of full-game net bookings in fiscal Q1 2027, up 9% from $214M a year earlier.

Release cadence can make the line unusually lumpy

EA attributed the increase primarily to higher EA SPORTS FC sales and the release of EA SPORTS UFC 6, partly offset by Split Fiction.

That release sensitivity makes full-game bookings economically different from live-services net bookings, which monetize ongoing engagement after launch.

Bookings still are not GAAP full-game revenue

EA separately reports full-game net revenue, including full-game downloads and packaged goods.

The bookings measure follows current-period sales activity, while deferred net revenue can shift the timing of GAAP recognition for online-enabled products.

For investors, the distinction helps separate release demand from accounting timing without treating either measure as unit sales.
