Manufactured housing retail sales center count measures the number of company-operated manufactured-home retail locations serving end consumers.

Champion Homes reported 84 U.S. retail sales centers in operation at June 27, 2026, compared with 82 a year earlier.

Retail centers extend the business downstream

A manufacturer selling directly through owned retail locations participates in merchandising, customer acquisition, and parts of the site-completion process that a pure wholesale manufacturer leaves to independent dealers.

That can change both revenue per home and operating-cost structure.

Footprint is not store productivity

More locations do not automatically mean better economics. Acquisitions, regional demand, staffing, local competition, and sales-center maturity all matter.

Use center count with company-owned retail home sales mix and net revenue per home sold to evaluate the direct channel.
